With over 18 years of experience in education, Jerusha Spain brings a strong background in teaching, leadership, and student support to her role as Principal. She attended the University of Washington earning a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. Spain also earned two master's degrees from Western Governors University in Educational Leadership and Teaching Social Science.
Throughout her career, Dr. Spain has served in various roles as a classroom teacher, instructional leader, and administrator, consistently focused on creating inclusive, high-quality learning experiences for all students. She is passionate about the power of virtual education to meet students where they are and provide flexible, meaningful pathways to success.
In addition to her work in education, Dr. Spain proudly serves in the South Carolina Army National Guard as a logistics officer, where she continues to demonstrate her commitment to service, discipline, and leadership.
Outside of work, she is a proud wife, boy mom, and loves watching anything sports-related.
Sarah Leverett brings nearly two decades of experience in education with expertise in virtual learning, instructional leadership, and student support. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education, and a Master of Education in Educational Administration at the University of South Carolina.
Throughout her career, Sarah has served as a teacher, department chair, technology leader, and instructional leader within FIVE Virtual Program. She is passionate about creating engaging virtual learning experiences, supporting educators, and helping students reach their full potential through innovation, collaboration, and meaningful relationships.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys making memories with her family, attending her children's dance and soccer events, being involved in her church, and discovering creative ways to enhance teaching and learning.
